Slippery Rock University marked Veterans Day with a pair of events Nov. 11, beginning with a breakfast in honor and remembrance of our military veterans. A Veterans Day Ceremony followed as alumni, faculty, staff and students gathered to hear remarks from SRU President Cheryl Norton and a keynote address from State Rep. Jake Wheatley, Jr., a former Marine. The event also featured a 21-gun salute, the laying of a wreath, the playing of taps and songs by the SRU Chamber Singers.
