Request a Transcript / Duplicate Diploma

Transcripts will not be processed on behalf of students who have any kind of financial obligation or hold at the University. To check your account status, please call the Office of Student Accounts at 724.738.2088 or the Office of Academic Records and Registration at 724.738.2010.

Students wishing to request an official transcript or duplicate diploma from Slippery Rock University may do so in the following ways:

Online Transcript Ordering

Slippery Rock is pleased to provide its students and alumni the opportunity to order transcripts online by using Parchment. Students/alumni using this option will be charged an $8.00 per transcript fee to utilize this service.

Note: Transcripts ordered through Parchment for electronic delivery are password-protected, and cannot be forwarded or uploaded to a third-party. Please send request your transcript sent directly to the intended recipient through the Parchment online ordering system.

Current SRU Students

To order transcripts online using Parchment, please log into your MySRU account. In the Student Links card, expand the Transcripts and Enrollment Verifications accordion and select the "Order Records" option. Be sure to have a credit card available before placing your order.

If you are an SRU student ordering transcripts by logging into MySRU, your identity is confirmed automatically.
If you have any form of hold on your account, please resolve it before ordering your transcript. Transcripts will not be sent on behalf of students with any university hold.
If you wish to have your transcripts faxed, do not order them online. Please follow the instructions that follow and order your transcripts directly from SRU.

Alumni and Former Students

Utilize Parchment to access Slippery Rock University's online transcript order process. Be sure to have a credit card available when ordering.

Students/Alumni using the online transcript ordering system should keep the following in mind:

If you attended SRU before 1974, your records are on microfiche. Do not order your transcripts online. Instead, please complete a Transcript Request Form to order your records directly from SRU.
If you have any form of hold on your account, please resolve it before ordering your transcript. Transcripts will not be sent on behalf of former students with any university hold.
If you wish to have your transcripts faxed, do not order them online. Instead, please complete a Transcript Request Form to order your records directly from SRU.

Instructions for Requesting a Transcript for Regular Processing - No Fee

Regular processing means the transcript will be sent by regular mail or fax within 2-3 business days after ordering. It does not ensure when the transcript will be delivered or received. There is no fee for regular processing. Transcripts will not be processed on behalf of students who have any kind of financial obligation or other hold at the University. To check your account status, please call the Office of Student Accounts at 724.738.2088 or the Office of Academic Records and Registration at 724.738.2010.

Students/alumni wishing to request an official transcript from Slippery Rock University for regular processing may do so by completing a Transcript Request Form or by mailing, emailing, or faxing a signed and dated letter including the following information to the address noted below.

Student's complete name (include maiden and married names if appropriate), current address and phone number
Student's social security number
Semester(s)/Year(s) student last attended SRU
The number of transcripts requested (Limit of 5 per day)
The name(s)/complete address(es) to which transcripts are to be sent
If to be faxed, also include the fax number of the person/organization to receive transcript
Student's signature and date of request

Ordering Transcripts Directly from SRU - Same Day Pick Up - $10 Fee

The Transcript Request Form and $10.00 payment must be submitted to our office prior to 2:00 p.m. for same-day pick up. Please contact our office once the form has been submitted in order to verify we have received the request. Once it has been verified, click here to make the same day payment of $10.00.

Same day processing means that the transcript will be available for pick up the same day it is ordered. There is a fee of $10.00 associated with same-day pick up requests, and requests must be received prior to 2:00 p.m.. Transcripts will not be processed on behalf of students who have any kind of financial obligation or other hold at the University. Students wishing to request an official same day transcript from Slippery Rock University may do so by completing a Transcript Request Form or by mailing, emailing, or faxing a signed and dated letter including the following information to the address noted below.

The number of transcripts requested (Limit of 5 per day)

Requesting a Duplicate Diploma

Former graduates of Slippery Rock State Teachers College, Slippery Rock State College or Slippery Rock University may request a diploma indicating graduation from Slippery Rock University by completing the Duplicate Diploma Application and returning this form to the Office of Academic Records and Registration. You may submit your Duplicate Diploma Application to Academic Records and Registration office by fax at 724.738.2936, by scan and email to academic.records@sru.edu or by regular mail to the address listed at the top of the form.

There is a $20 fee associated with each duplicate diploma requested. This fee may be paid here. If you are requesting more than one new diploma (i.e. - Bachelors & Masters), please use a different form for each diploma ordered. The diploma will read, "Slippery Rock University" and have the SRU's & PASSHE's current leadership listed.

Note: Before submitting payment for a duplicate diploma, please contact the Academic Records and Registration Office at 724.738.2010 to verify your application has been received and there are no issues preventing the request from being processed.
