Early Childhood Club
The Early Childhood Club was established as a professional development and service club for students who are interested in learning about young children through an array of projects, workshops, and other professional opportunities. Kappa Delta Pi
Kappa Delta Pi is an international honorary society, founded in 1911. Its purpose is to support excellence in education and camaraderie among colleagues. The society strives to promote leadership, scholarship and service to its members.
This national honor society in education is eager to promote a closer bond and fellowship among the students in education with those already in the profession of teaching. The Delta Tau chapter was established at SRU in 1938. Any education major with a GPA of 3.25 or higher is invited to join the honorary.
National Council for Teachers of English (NCTE)
NCTE is a nationally recognized professional organization devoted to improving teaching and learning of English and language arts at all levels.
Early Childhood, Special Education, Middle Level Language Arts, and Secondary English Education majors are all welcome to join!

National Science Teachers Association (NSTA)
The National Science Teachers Association Student Chapter was formed in April 2007. Its mission is to: (1) provide professional training and experiences for NSTA-SRU members, and (2) act as a service group for science
education.
Student Pennsylvania State Education Association (S-PSEA)
Student PSEA, an affiliate of PSEA/NEA, is a pre-professional organization designed to help you achieve your goal of becoming a professional educator.
At SRU, our chapter is actively involved in leadership, professional development, and service projects throughout the area and even at state and national levels. Many networking opportunities are available to members through local, regional, and statewide conferences.
Pre-Service Teachers of Mathematics (PTM)
PTM is an organization for anyone who plans to teach PreK-12th grade. It is an affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM).
