In a cooperative program with the University of Pittsburgh (PITT), SRU offers a dual-degree Pre-Engineering program that gives you the best of both worlds: an affordable undergraduate education at SRU and an Engineering degree from PITT.

This program leads to two degrees: a BA in physics awarded by SRU, and a BS in engineering from PITT.

What Will You Learn?

The Pre-Engineering with PITT program enables you to reap the benefits of SRU's teaching-focused environment during your first three years-including small class sizes, personal relationships with faculty, and a strong liberal arts background. You'll complete physics, mathematics, and science courses, along with several pre-engineering electives that are based on your choice of engineering field.

After successfully completing your degree at SRU, you'll continue to PITT where you'll complete engineering coursework taught by a faculty of skilled professionals in the field. You will be exposed to a hands-on, project-based curriculum at the cutting edge of engineering.
