SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The National Weather Service may not be able to accurately forecast the conditions inside Slippery Rock University's Morrow Field House any given night, but the SGA Bookstore has it nailed down - "White Out" conditions.

It won't be an arctic blast from Manitoba, Canada that's the cause either, but rather a bevy of white t-shirts that will be behind the "blinding" condition as part of SRU's annual "White Out" Night when The Rock women's and men's basketball teams play host to California University at 6 and 7:30 p.m. respectively.

All fans that attend the games are encouraged to wear white and join what is expected to be one of the largest crowds of the season.

"The 'White Out' game is a great way to inspire enthusiasm and to get everyone pumped up to help support our teams," said Joe Flynn, manager of the SGA Bookstore.

As the event's official sponsor, the bookstore has specially-designed t-shirts available for $5. T-shirts will also be available in the field house lobby, while supplies last, the night of the games.

"The annual 'White Out' night is always a special game for our players, managers, support staff and coaches and one of the best crowds of the year," said Kevin Reynolds, SRU men's basketball coach. "This year it will be even more important as we are playing one of our rivals in California."

"Hosting a top 10, nationally ranked opponent on 'White Out' night will provide a great atmosphere that our players will appreciate and feed off of," said Bobby McGraw, SRU women's basketball coach.

The SGA Bookstore, located on the lower level of the Smith Student Center, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday.
