SRU’s accounting program ranked one of the country’s best

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's bachelor of science in accounting has been ranked as one of the 50 best programs in the country by Study.com.

Study.com is an online resource that makes education more accessible through free, online courses in more than 10 subjects and helps students through their educational journey by providing rankings on institutions by program.

The rankings were compiled by Study.com staff utilizing reports from the U.S. Department of Education. Schools were ranked based on tuition costs, student retention, graduation rates, faculty, job placement and internship opportunities.

SRU, at No. 42, joined West Chester University, as one of the only two State System programs recognized.

Through SRU's School of Business, students can major, minor or earn a certificate in accounting. Students also have the opportunity to engage in student clubs and organizations including the Student Accounting Society or the Rock Solid Investment Club. The program is further enhanced by its strong internship program which can be used to complete select elective requirements.
