SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's College of Education has been ranked second in the state by tobecomeateacher.org.

Rankings were determined using an algorithmic tool with supporting data provided by the schools and other government agencies. Additional factors considered were: total expense, student-to-faculty ratios, graduation rates, potential earnings and return on investment.

The remainder of the top five included: West Chester University (first), Millersville University (third), Bryn Athyn College of the New Church (fourth) and Temple University (fifth).

"Every school listed in our state of Pennsylvania review has committed themselves to the pursuit of excellence in the field of education," said Tim Charlet, editor of tobecomeateacher.org.

"Our review discovered that Slippery Rock University was one of five distinct schools in the state that has surpassed all others. We commend them."
