SRU to host H.E.A.R.O. spring conference

Slippery Rock University’ Smith Student Center will play host to the 11th annual Higher Education Accounts Receivable Organization conference May 22.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University will host the 11th annual Higher Education Accounts Receivable Organization conference from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., May 22, in the Smith Student Center.

H.E.A.R.O. provides a one-day conference for accounts receivable professionals at institutions throughout the region to learn new techniques, share proven practices and develop networking with other higher education student accounts professionals.

Renee Jenkins, SRU's director of student accounting, is leading the University's efforts to organize this year's event in cooperation with the H.E.A.R.O. conference planning committee.

"We are excited to be the host site for this year's conference," said Jenkins. "It's a great opportunity to showcase our beautiful campus and the many amenities and services available to the public through the University."

A number of vendors will also attend the event, which will provide attendees the ability to explore industry-leading goods and services. A number of industry professionals will be featured as speakers, including: Pamela Murphy, vice president and privacy and compliance officer at ConServe; Judith Flink, business development, at OnPlanU; Lori Hartung, Midwest regional sales manager for Todd, Bremer & Lawson, Inc.; and Alyssa Dobson, SRU's director of financial aid.
