Slippery Rock University's Camp Rock program for youth on the autism spectrum provides equine-assisted therapeutic recreation and other activities promoting health. The two-week camp, running through June 30 and being attended by 30 adolescents, offers horseback riding, archery, yard games, biking and horticulture among its variety of activities. Nearly three dozen SRU therapeutic recreation majors and local high school students are taking part, acting as mentors for the campers.
