Top 25 MBA Programs in Pennsylvania

June 23, 2017

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's master's degree in business administration has been ranked among Pennsylvania's Top 25 MBA programs by Top Management Degrees.

TMD's rankings were determined by four primary factors that included:
-Accreditation: Schools that were accredited by a U.S. Department of Education organization and supplemented by a third-party business accreditation from a leading business school were given the highest score.
-Affordability: Schools were "evaluated based on the estimated base tuition cost for the entire program." This cost was assessed from the most updated data provided by the school's website.
-Average salary: Each institution's average early-career salary, reported by recent master's and MBA graduates, was calculated using PayScale's Graduate School Salary Report, the "largest real-time salary survey in the world." This report is updated nightly "to reflect the most detailed, up-to-date compensation information available."
-Prestige: Schools were ranked on their score from two external educational rankings: The U.S. News and World Report and The Princeton Review. The U.S. News and World Report is noted for offering authoritative rankings of "Best Colleges," "Best Graduate Schools" and "Best Hospitals." The Princeton Review provides "the tools needed for success in high school, college, graduate school and beyond to help their students become well-rounded applicants."

Of the nearly 100 MBA programs evaluated, SRU ranked number 24 of the 25 finalists for its regional accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and for its listing amongst the "Best Northeastern Colleges" in the nation by the Princeton Review. The University was also lauded for offering the second lowest tuition rate of the Top 25 schools.

SRU's 36-credit hour program focuses on "helping both full-time students and working professionals gain a competitive edge within today's ever changing business world." The curriculum integrates theory with practical business practices by including a wide range of corporate elements such as accounting, communication economics, management and leadership.

TMD is a "go-to site for information about business and management education, provides expert material to help students select a specialized degree, finance a degree in management and discover the best careers available."
