SRU’s online master’s degree in history ranked among most affordable

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's online master's degree in history has been ranked among the 2017 "Most Affordable Online Master's in History Degrees" by AffordableColleges.com.

AffordableColleges' rankings were determined by financial metrics including tuition cost, number of students receiving financial aid, net price and loan default rates among graduates.

Student success data such as enrollment, fulltime retention and graduation rates in addition to student-to-faculty ratios was also examined along with the school's number of programs and the percentage of students enrolled in at least one online course.

When calculating the rankings, AffordableColleges.com used the most recent data available from the U.S. Department of Education's Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System.

Of the online master's degrees evaluated, SRU's 30-credit history program ranked number 12 with an average tuition cost of $8,460.
