SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - With the stylings of classic vocal groups like The Four Freshmen and The Hi-Lo's, The Modern Gentlemen blend today's sounds to create the ultimate vocal experience for all ages, performing classic hits in a modern style.

The quartet will bring their talents to Slippery Rock University to serve as the kickoff for the 2017-18 SRU Performing Arts Series at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 15 in the University Union's Multipurpose Room.

The group was brought together 10 years ago to serve as background vocalists to the legendary Frankie Valli. Since that time, they've been wowing audiences worldwide providing all the background vocals and choreography alongside the vocal icon.

Away from Valli, the quartet - Brian Brigham, Brandon Brigham, Landon Beard and Todd Fournier - has developed their own signature sound, blending tight four-part harmonies while performing classic pop, rock, Doo-Wop and Motown hits. They've performed on some the world's biggest stages, including the Royal Albert Hall with the London Symphony Orchestra and Broadway, while touring throughout Asia, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

In addition to Valli, they've appeared onstage with The Beach Boys, The Manhattan Transfer, Tony Bennett and Smokey Robinson among others.

General admission tickets for the performance are $22 for adults; $20 for seniors (62 and older); $18 for youth (17 and younger); and $8 for SRU students.
