SRU named one of state's best online colleges

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University has been named a "Best Online College in Pennsylvania for 2017" by College Choice, a free online resource to help potential students access unique student-centered college rankings, admission advice and scholarship and financial aid information.

To determine rankings, College Choice researched available statistical sets from The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System, PayScale and U.S. News and World Report to determine an institution's academic excellence and return on investment, and the earning potential a student can expect from studying at a particular institution.

SRU was lauded for its Desire2Learn course management system and its inexpensive degree completion programs, particularly its bachelor's degrees in business administration and nursing.
