SALUTING FALLEN SOLDIERS

Slippery Rock University recognized a pair of fallen SRU ROTC graduates and their families at halftime of its Oct. 8 Military Appreciation Night football game. SRU President Cheryl Norton presented SRU pins and flowers to the families of the late Army Capt. Jason West and Army 2nd Lt. Christopher Loudon during a special ceremony. The tribute marked the 10th anniversary of the soldiers' combat deaths.
