SRU named one of Pennsylvania’s best online colleges

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Slippery Rock University has been ranked as one of Pennsylvania's best online colleges for 2020 by SR Education Group, a leading education research publisher.

The rankings, posted on GuideToOnlineSchools.com, highlight institutions that provide the best return on investment, using alumni salary data from PayScale and tuition rates as posted on official school websites.

"In our 10th year of publishing college rankings, we are proud to lead the way in offering the most accurate, comprehensive and accessible rankings for online students," said Sung Rhee, CEO of SR Education Group. "We know that program costs and return on investment are two objective, important factors to current students. This is why we have spent the past year researching over 1,900 schools to highlight the best online colleges of 2020 in each state."

To be considered for the rankings, schools needed to meet the following requirements:
Overall list: Must offer at least five fully online degrees at the bachelor's level and at least five at the master's level with programs that cover at least three subject areas.
Bachelor's list: Must offer at least five fully online degrees at the bachelor's level with programs that cover at least three subject areas.
Master's list: Must offer at least five fully online degrees at the master's level with programs that cover at least three subject areas.

SRU was ranked No. 25 on the list. Other institutions from Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education to make the list included West Chester (No. 13), Millersville (No. 16) and California (No. 24).
