SRU named one of Pennsylvania’s best online schools

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University has been recognized as one of Pennsylvania's best institutions for online learning by The Community for Accredited Online Schools.

CFAOS provides students and their parents with information on pursuing higher education and features more than 1,000 colleges that are ranked in areas including: financial aid, college accreditation and online learning resources. Annual school rankings feature "colleges that offer exceptional online learning programs" according to the CFAOS website.

Award badge

Colleges qualified for ranking by being nationally or regionally accredited, being a not-for profit institution and offering at least one online degree. Institutions were than ranked based upon the following criteria:
● Quality.
● Affordability.
● Flexibility.
● Degrees granted.

"We wanted to highlight schools like Slippery Rock University that are providing exceptional online education experiences for their students," said Doug Jones, CEO and founder of CFAOS. "These schools continue to uphold rigorous accreditation standards and show an overall commitment to maximizing student success."

SRU ranked 10th among 50 Pennsylvania colleges.
