SRU safety management degree program ranked among nation’s best values

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's bachelor's degree in safety management has been ranked among the top 25 best value occupational safety and health degrees for 2019 by valuecolleges.com.

SRU, which ranked eighth on the list, was joined by two other institutions from Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education in Millersville University (No. 11) and Indiana University (No. 18).

Valuecolleges.com based its rankings on three criteria:

Occupational Health and Safety logo

• Reputation, based on U.S. News & World Report.
• Return on investment, based on PayScale data.
• Cost, based on online tuition as reported to Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System.

All of the colleges and universities featured on the list are regionally accredited. Many of the programs are also recognized by the Institute of Safety and Health Management or the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. ISHM is an industry-recognized, third-party accredited certification for Environmental Health and Safety professionals.
