Hertel named interim president of MACAA

Heather Hertel, Slippery Rock University associate professor of art, was recently elected as interim president for Mid-America College Art Association, a national art non-profit organization serving both academic and non-academic artists and groups throughout the U.S.

Hertel will provide leadership for the MACAA's 15 board of directors and three affiliate organizations and prepare for the MACAA's biannual conference, which will be hosted at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Oct. 3-5.


The MACAA provides ideas and information of mutual benefit for members who include art faculty, art historians, independent scholars, artists, museum professionals and affiliate organizations.
