Omer named superintendent at West Middlesex

Raymond Omer, a 1993 Slippery Rock University graduate with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and environmental education, was recently hired as the superintendent of the West Middlesex Area School District.

Omer also earned a master's degree in mentally and physically handicapped education from SRU in 1999.

He is currently the principal of Mohawk Junior Senior High School in Lawrence County. He will begin his five-year term at WMASD July 1.
