Lewandowski joins Point Park as basketball coach

Joe Lewandowski, a 1999 Slippery Rock University graduate with a degree in secondary education-communication, was recently named the interim head men's basketball coach at Point Park University in Pittsburgh.

Lewandowski, a former high school basketball coach at Butler and Deer Lakes High Schools, previously coached with USA Basketball, including national three-on-three teams, as well as at the AAU level.

A former SRU basketball player and two-year captain, Lewandowski led The Rock in scoring and rebounding during the 1995-96 season before playing professionally in Denmark.
