Kronyak awarded ATRA’s Connolly Scholarship

Allison Kronyak, a Slippery Rock University senior recreational therapy major from Wood Ridge, New Jersey, recently received the Peg Connolly Scholarship, awarded by the American Therapeutic Recreation Association.

The competitive scholarship honors Connolly, the first ATRA president and former executive director of the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification. Recipients receive a paid conference registration, accommodations and a meal stipend. Connolly Scholars assist in various aspects of implementing the conference including room hosting, registration and monitoring social events.
