SRU students, faculty present papers at criminology meeting

Slippery Rock University students and faculty recently presented papers at the American Society of Criminology's annual meeting in Atlanta.

Lauren Fedorek, a senior criminology and criminal justice major from Pittsburgh, and Sarah Hess, a dual major in psychology and criminology and criminal justice from Erie, presented the paper, "Why Do Criminology Students Choose Their Major," with Sarah Kuehn and Rebecca Ridener, associate professors of criminology and criminal justice.

Additionally, Jeffrey Roth, an assistant professor of criminology and criminal justice, presented a paper, "Student Performance and Satisfaction in Video-Conference and Resident Courses."

The ASC is an international organization of students, practitioners and academicians from fields of criminal justice and criminology. Nearly 2,500 people attended the ASC annual meeting.
