SRU’s Hicks appointed president-elect of the ATE

John Hicks, Slippery Rock University assistant professor of secondary education/foundations of education, has been appointed president-elect of the Association of Teacher Educators

Hicks will serve a three-year term on the ATE board, first as president-elect for 2020, then president for 2021 and past-president for 2022. 

ATE is an individual membership organization that promotes quality teacher education through both exemplary clinical practice and research. Founded in 1920, the organization promotes advocacy, equity, leadership and professionalism for teacher educators in all settings and supports quality education for all learners at all levels.
