Biology Department Events

The Department of Biology at Slippery Rock University sponsors/hosts a number of events throughout the year for students, faculty, staff and the community. These include, but are not restricted to seminars, career information sessions, fall freshman social, spring graduate social, and induction banquets. A summary  of upcoming events appears below when available.

The 2016 Fall seminars will be held on selected Fridays at 5 pm in Vincent Science Cener room 116.  Presentations include:

Dr. John McMichael, Cleveland Clinic, on September 30th (Computational medicine within large institutions).

Dr. Abdullah Ozer, Cornell University, on November 11th (Quantitative assessment of RNA-protein interactions with high throughput sequencing-RNA affinity profiling).

Mr. Michael Preston, University of Pittsburgh PhD. student, on November 18th (How does the ER identify potentially harmful proteins?).

Dr. Randy Kulesza, LECOM, on December 9th (Dysfunction of auditory hind brain and autism spectrum disorder).
