Carol DiSalvo Lidfeldt (second from left), a 1969 Slippery Rock University graduate and a member of the SRU Athletic Hall of Fame, spoke to SRU students who visited Sweden, March 8-16, for a program led by Linda Zane (far left), associate professor of elementary education and early childhood. DiSalvo Lidfeldt, a Pittsburgh native, has lived in Stockholm the past 46 years, teaching physical education at the Stockholm International School for the last 32 years. After dining with the SRU contingent, she spoke to the group about how the University prepared her for life and a career in education. Zane has led a study abroad program in Sweden the last six years, as student regularly attend seminars and learn about Sweden's high-quality, child-centered education system.
