SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's Government Contracting Assistance Center will host a free COSTARS contract program seminar at 9 a.m., May 25 in Ballroom A of the Smith Student Center.

COSTARS is a cooperative purchasing program managed by the Pennsylvania Department of General Services Bureau of Procurement. It allows COSTARS members, including local governments, public authorities, non-profit educational and health entities, school districts and fire and rescue companies, to purchase products and services from businesses through a state contract established by DGS.

There are currently 34 COSTARS contracts ranging from copiers, IT hardware and office supplies to energy consulting services, graphic and printing services and grounds keeping. A complete list of COSTARS contracts can be found at http://www.dgs.pa.gov under the "Business Links" tab.

The seminar is designed to teach potential suppliers how to do business through COSTARS exclusive contracts through providing information on the program's background and contract opportunities.

Online registration is available at: https://cupgaco.ecenterdirect.com/events/210.
