Yamamoto certified as an AAPPL rater for Japanese language

Junko Yamamoto, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of secondary education/foundations of education, has been certified as a rater for the assessment of performance toward proficiency in languages by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language. Yamamoto earned AAPPL rater certification for the Japanese language.

As a rater, Yamamoto is certified to assess the proficiency and performance of students who take the test to complement classroom-based language learning through the ACTFL.

The ACTFL is an individual membership organization of more than 12,500 language educators and administrators that is dedicated to the improvement and expansion of the teaching and learning of all languages at all levels of instruction.
