Miller named Distinguished Teacher by MAA AlleMo

Lyn Miller, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of mathematics and statistics, received the Distinguished Teaching Award from Allegheny Mountain Section of the Mathematical Association of America.

The award recognizes MAA AlleMo Section members who demonstrate extraordinary success in teaching, an ability to foster curiosity and generate excitement about mathematics. The MAA AlleMo Section is a professional association serving mathematicians in western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Miller is just the second SRU faculty member to receive the MAA AlleMo Section Distinguished Teaching Award since the award was created in 1993.
