Wilson to receive honorary degree from USM

Tim Wilson, a 1962 Slippery Rock University graduate with a degree in secondary education, will receive an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from the University of Southern Maine, at USM’s virtual commencement ceremony, May 8. Wilson is the senior advisor and director of the Maine Seeds Programs, a leadership development program for youth. Prior to his current role, he was appointed by three Maine governors to several posts, including chair of the Maine Human Rights Commission, and he was associate headmaster of the Hyde School, director of admissions at Maine Central Institute, and a football coach at the University of Maine.
