Baek-Kyoo Joo, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of management and marketing, recently co-authored an article that was published in Human Resource Development International, a journal that promotes the practice and research of individual, group and organizational learning and performance.

Joo's article, tilted "Work cognitions and work intentions: a canonical correlation study," was written with Kim Nimon from the University of Texas at Tyler and Marvin Bontrager from Georgia Gwinnett College. The co-authors examined relationships between work cognition and work intention. For example, they studied how employees who endorse an organization, stay with the organization and perform better have higher levels of cognitive perceptions on meaningful work and feedback in their job, as well as organizational support for their growth.
