Three Slippery Rock University professors co-authored a paper that was published as the cover article for the October issue of Professional Safety, a blind peer-reviewed journal published by the American Society of Safety Professionals.

Adelle Williams, professor of public health and social work; Rona Smeak, assistant professor of safety management; and Angela Mattis Bernardo, associate professor of safety management, wrote the article titled “Accommodating The Older Worker: Implication for Safety Professional.” The paper addresses the needs and common myths associated with the safety of an aging workforce, describing how safety professionals can protect the aging workforce and enhance workplace safety for all workers.
