The Psychology 3+3 Pre-Counseling is an accelerated program that enables you to complete the undergraduate courses required to begin graduate study in 3 years. It prepares you to become a licensed Counselor, working in a variety of counseling settings. This program is unique becuase it offers a strong basis in the biopsychosocial processes of human functioning. You will receive personal attention and gain insightful knowledge through activities both inside and outside of the classroom. What Will You Learn?
Courses are blocked to ensure that you will receive preparation in all areas of Psychology, consistent with the biopsychosocial model used in counseling. After completing the core required courses, you will choose electives in each of the following areas:
- Applied Psychology
- Biobehavioral Psychology
- Developmental Psychology
During your final year, you will also complete a professional competency course in either research or community practice.
