SRU is continually recognized with awards, rankings and other accolades from the top national publications, websites and other organizations that evaluate institutions and their academic programs. “Best Colleges in the Mid-Atlantic” by Princeton Review
The Princeton Review recognized Slippery Rock University on its "Best Mid-Atlantic" list as part of its "2024 Best College: Region by Region" guide. SRU is one of only a quarter of the nation's four-year colleges to earn the distinction of “regional best” by the Princeton Review editors. Schools are grouped into seven zones -- Northeast, South, Southwest, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, West and International.

Slippery Rock University is ranked among the "Best Regional Universities - North" and "Top Public Schools - Regional Universities (North)" on The U.S. News & World Report’s 2023-24 Best Colleges rankings. SRU earned a spot on the publication's Best Regional Universities list for a 15th straight year in 2023-24.
