SRU’s homeland security program recognized by CollegeRank

Slippery Rock University’s homeland security program was ranked among the top ten in the country by CollegeRank.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Slippery Rock University's homeland security program was named to CollegeRank's list of the 35 Best Bachelor's in Homeland Security. CollegeRank's editors ranked SRU's homeland security program ninth in the nation. Rankings were based on potential salary for students after graduation, individual program accreditation and overall affordability.

SRU's homeland security degree program provides a comprehensive study of the skills needed to prepare, prevent, respond to and mitigate the economic and social consequences of disasters, both natural and human caused. Students learn how to assess risks and gather intelligence, protect critical infrastructure and prevent and respond to terrorist attacks. Graduates have gone on to work for government agencies or in the private sector in jobs related to domestic security, intelligence, counterterrorism, and emergency preparedness.
