Out-of-State Students
Slippery Rock University warmly welcomes all out-of-state students to our campus. SRU makes college affordable by offering a tuition reduction program and many scholarship opportunities for highly-qualified out-of-state undergraduate students.
Tuition Reduction Eligibility Requirements:
- First-Year Students: 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA on their official final high school transcript
- Transfer Students: 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA with 12 or more credit hours earned on all post-secondary coursework
- Continuing SRU Students: Must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA at SRU to continue receiving the tuition reduction

Tuition and fees are subject to change. Tuition and fees as seen above is based on 15 credits. Tuition is a flat rate from 12-18 credits. The Student Life fee is based per credit, so there is a $5 increase for each extra credit of enrollment.
Housing and food cost as seen above includes a room in a residence hall and a meal plan. A room in the residential suites is based on the Double or Triple Studio, the most common room type for first-year students. A room in the traditional hall is based on a Double or Triple Room. The meal plan is based on 14 meals per week.
