State Employee Combined Appeal - SECA
SRU employees can demonstrate their generosity and kindness by giving charitable donations through the State Employee Combined Appeal (SECA). SECA celebrates a proud legacy of four decades of giving by Pennsylvania Commonwealth employees who have donated over $100 million to participating SECA charities!
Donating to SECA is easy and flexible. You can elect a recurring or one-time deduction from your pay, or you can donate using a check or money order. To donate, just visit ESS or use a paper pledge form. Your donation can be designated to up to ten charities, which are listed in the SECA Resource Guide.
There are approximately 1,000 charities that employees can support through SECA. These charities fall under one of nine umbrella organizations. The umbrella organizations group together like-minded charities.
All charities participating in SECA must meet strict eligibility standards established by the Office of Administration. Each year, the Office of Administration reviews an application for every charity participating in SECA. Therefore, employees can feel confident in donating to the charities in SECA.
SECA campaigns normally run through the months of September and October.
