Slippery Rock University hosted a "Carnival on the Quad" April 19 as part of SRU's month-long Earth Days program. The event included games, a make your own Frisbee booth, "Bowl Over the Fracking Tower," food and prizes. The carnival, which promoted sustainability education and personal accountability, saw Campus Greek organizations build a can castle to illustrate the importance of recycling. AVI Fresh offered food demonstrations. Representatives from Students for Sustainability and SRU's Sustainable Enterprise Accelerator were on hand to talk about their sustainability endeavors.
