Sandra Leh, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of nursing, was lead author of a paper that was recently published in the Journal of Transcultural Nursing.

Leh’s paper titled "Using Community Based Participatory Research to Explore Health Care Perceptions of a Select Group of Arab Americans" addressed the findings of a five-year research study and outlined evidence-based nursing interventions to reduce health care disparities in the Arab American population.

The Journal of Transcultural Nursing is a peer-reviewed journal that offers nurses, educators, researchers and practitioners’ theoretical approaches and current research findings that have direct implications for the delivery of culturally congruent health care and for the preparation of health care professionals who will provide that care.
