Marshall Tuten, a senior Slippery Rock University dual major in economics and modern languages and cultures from Slippery Rock, has been named the JoAnne Day Student of the Year by the Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Employers in the business category.

Each year, PennACE recognizes the outstanding achievements and contributions made by undergraduate students enrolled at member institutions who have completed an internship or co-op. Tuten completed an internship last summer with Creminelli Fine Meats in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he worked in sales, marketing and operations. The PennACE committee was also impressed with Tuten's leadership and experiences elsewhere during his college career, including his international research and service-learning trips to Bolivia and China.

Tuten is the third SRU student to receive recognition from PennACE since 2012.
