Herwig's concert band composition wins PMEA award

Jeff Herwig, a 2015 Slippery Rock University graduate with a degree in music education, had his concert band composition, "The Bridge," selected as the winner of the 2019 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Composition Contest, Adult Category.

"The Bridge" will be showcased at the PMEA Outstanding Compositions Session, April 4, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.

Herwig is the director of bands at Mercer Area High School and founder of M&M Music Press LLC.
