Nitin Sukhija, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of computer science, recently had his work shared via a book chapter, conference presentations and a peer-reviewed journal. Sukhija co-wrote a chapter titled “Glycobioinformatics in Deciphering the Mammalian Glycocode: Recent Advances” that was published in “Glycome: The Hidden Code in Biology,” Glycomes are sets of carbohydrates that are metabolized by organisms. Sukhija co-presented two papers at a virtual conference, MEDES20, The International Conference on Management of Digital EcoSystems: “Towards a Predictive Framework for Power Consumption of Jobs in HPC Facilities” and “Event Management and Monitoring Framework for HPC Environments using ServiceNow and Prometheus.” Both papers were related to the optimizing high-performance computers at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory's National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center. Sukhija also co-authored a paper, titled “Employing Directed Internship and Apprenticeship for Fostering HPC Training and Education,“ that was published in the Journal of Computational Science Education.
