Pragati Rawat, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of political science, presented papers at two recent conferences and for a workshop in Mexico.

Rawat presented a paper about environmental management decision-making at the American Society for Public Administration earlier this month in Washington, D.C. The conference was attended by public administrators from various disciplines.

Earlier this year, Rawat presented a paper about e-participation at the Southern Political Science Association Conference in Austin, Texas, which was attended by people engaged in the professional study and practice of government and politics. E-participation is a process involved in government to engage citizens and improve access to information and public services as well as to promote participation in policy making.

Rawat also spoke to public officials and college science and technology students through an online teleconference at a workshop organized by Foro Consultivo Científico y Tecnológico, an autonomous institution that educates Mexican executives and policy-makers.
