Hart elected trustee of August Wilson Center

Rahmon Hart, a 1995 Slippery Rock University graduate with a degree in physical education-kinesiology, was elected as a trustee of the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, a nonprofit cultural organization located in Pittsburgh’s cultural district that generates artistic, educational and community initiatives. Hart is the director of community relations at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, where he oversees the casino’s corporate donations and Community Champions program. Hart, who earned a master’s degree in student personnel from SRU in 1998, is also president of Pittsburgh’s graduate chapter of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity. Hart will provide leadership for the AWAACC, which is the largest nonprofit cultural organization in the country focused exclusively on the African American experience and the arts of the African diaspora.
