Tami Micsky, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of public health and social work, recently led two online programs for the Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors and Continued.com, an online continuing education provider.

Micsky conducted a virtual workshop at the ABSWPD’s annual meeting titled “Social Location in the Social Work Classroom: Gaining Awareness & Finding Perspective Conference.” She also created a web-based continuing education course for Continued.com titled “Loss & Grief in Early Childhood." The course provides a foundational understanding of loss and grief in early childhood along with tools to support children as guided by the Harvard Bereavement Study, the Dual Process Model and the reconciliation needs of grieving children.
