Asher named chair of ISI committee

Jana Asher, a Slippery Rock University professor of mathematics and statistics, was appointed as the chair of the International Statistical Institute’s History of Statistics Committee. This committee maintains an archive of articles on the history of statistics, documenting the history of the ISI, its associations and national statistical organizations, while also developing new initiatives in areas of interest to the community. The ISI is the largest international professional society for the statistics community.
