Martha Dunkelberger, a Slippery Rock University senior dual dance and health and physical education major from Spring Mills, was awarded the Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship, the oldest and most selective multidisciplinary collegiate honor society in the U.S.

A total of 62 fellows, who are active Phi Kappa Phi members entering their first year of graduate school, were selected from across the country to receive scholarships, and Dunkelberger was awarded $8,500. Endorsed by their local chapters, recipients applied for the fellowship and were selected by a Phi Kappa Phi committee for their strong academic achievement, commitment to service and leadership, and a very well-organized application.

Dunkelberger plans to attend Rowan University to pursue a master’s degree in wellness and lifestyle management with a certificate in wellness coaching.
