SRU students awarded ABGPA Midstream scholarships

Five Slippery Rock University students received scholarships of up to $2,000 each from the Appalachian Basin Gas Processors Association Midstream.

The scholarship recognizes students interested in midstream careers who demonstrate outstanding academic excellence, leadership and student service. The following students were among recipients of ABGPA Midstream scholarships, selected from 10 colleges and universities in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio:

  • Sam Alag, a senior petroleum and natural gas engineering major from Baden.
  • Travis Braund, a senior petroleum and natural gas engineering major from Butler.
  • Jon Hilko, a senior petroleum and natural gas engineering major from Transfer.
  • Cayman Kelly, a senior petroleum and natural gas engineering major from Butler.
  • Morgan McIntyre, a senior petroleum and natural gas engineering major from Templeton.

ABGPA Midstream, a professional organization serving the Appalachian region, sets standards for natural gas liquids and is the primary advocate for a sustainable midstream industry, which consists of facilities and processes that sit between upstream and downstream gas segments.
