Brimkov receives AMS-Simons Travel grant

Boris Brimkov, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of mathematics and statistics, received an American Mathematical Society-Simons Foundation Travel grant to support research collaboration for an early-career mathematician.

The two-year, $4,000 grant is to be used for research-related travel, such as attending conferences. SRU's Mathematics and Statistics Department also received $800 to help enhance its research environment, such as inviting speakers to campus to conduct research talks.

AMS is a professional society that advances research and connects the global mathematical community through publications, meetings and conferences, professional services, advocacy and awareness programs.
