Nitin Sukhija, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of computer science, served as the co-chair of a special track on advanced computing systems at the 10th International Conference on Management of Digital EcoSystems, Sept. 25-28 at Tokyo Metropolitan University in Tokyo, Japan.

The special track helped researchers, developers and practitioners from academia, industry, governmental and scientific organizations formulate innovative research practices using big data and supercomputing systems.

Sukhija has organized high performance computing workshops for supercomputing practitioners all over the world. Sukhija will co-chair a workshop Nov. 12 in Dallas as part of the SC18: International Conference on High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis.
