Melincavage and Silva speak at global nursing conference

Sharon Melincavage and Christina Silva, Slippery Rock University associate professors of nursing, spoke at the Global Virtual Conference on Nursing Science.

Melincavage delivered an oral presentation, titled “Help! How do I Navigate this Online Course?,” which provided methods for faculty to help students become familiar with course structure and course requirements of an online course in the first week of a semester. Silva was one of the conference’s moderators and she presented a session about using humor in nursing education.

The GVCNS, which was attended virtually by more than 100 nurses and nursing faculty from multiple countries, was organized by the United Scientific Group, a nonprofit organization of academicians, researchers and professionals across various fields of research.
